Laura Schaevitz, Ph.D., is the SVP Head of Research at Recursion where she leads the scientific teams focused on applying Recursion's novel platform and approach to the discovery of therapies to radically improve patients lives. Before joining Recursion, Laura was the CSO and then CEO at Vium where she lead the scientific development and application of Vium's state-of-the-art digital approach to transforming preclinical drug discovery. She is a Neuroscientist by training and received her bachelor's degree from Wellesley College, and Ph.D. from Stanford University. Laura finds time daily to run, ideally on trails, and the farther the better. When she's not working or running, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
