Ryan Kelly

Chief Communications Officer

Ryan is a communications and marketing leader whose expertise spans brand strategy, digital media, and corporate narrative development. He gained this deep knowledge through years spent consulting with numerous brands at both large and small companies, with a career marked by driving strategy for global brands. Immediately before joining Recursion, Ryan spent five years focused on global marketing strategy at Virgin Hyperloop, a company that aimed to establish a new form of transportation.

His previous experience in the media and agency sectors includes working at The New York Times on one of its first integrated advertising teams and at WPP, a leading advertising network. He also served as the Digital Director at Media-Corps, where he managed a network with six billion impressions per month. Pivoting to the agency realm, Mr. Kelly became a partner at GW New York, overseeing digital strategy, buying, and planning for B/S/H appliance brands and various other clients. His consulting background includes working with major corporations such as Salesforce, Oracle, Lufthansa, American Express, and Bose.
